Sanitary Kits for Girls in Local SBISD Schools
Think Pink Inc in Spring Branch (Houston, Texas) partners with local churches and women's groups to provide Sanitary Kits for local elementary, middle and high school girls. If your group would like to collect items for this program, please contact LM Shafer. You can also support this program by visiting our Amazon Wish List and purchasing the sanitary products listed. We meet every couple of months to put together the kits. This program is a ministry that promotes dignity. Sanitary products can be expensive and they are a necessary item for our girls. Join us in this opportunity to provide dignity to a girl in need. We currently have 30+ SBISD school enrolled in our sanitary kit program.

Note from one of our advisors:
Dignity and Integrity are the two key words that define a local non-profit organization.
By providing sanitary kits to thirty schools, Think Pink Inc. brings both of those into the lives of the young ladies attending in Spring Branch ISD. The process is simple but effective. Working with school nurses and the Communities in Schools Directors for a campus, Think Pink delivers three to four times a year. This way, the school has supplies on hand in case a girl or young woman needs them. It is a comforting resource at a time that can be embarrassing and scary and an experience every woman has had in her life. The Think Pink kits include an encouraging message and this year, it is “You are Beautiful”.
Beyond the basic delivery, Think Pink Inc. also provides the Spring Branch community the opportunity to serve those in their midst by providing opportunities to gather and assemble kits and encourages groups to hold a drive to collect the needed items. This is not only an easy way to give a tangible form of dignity, it also offers Spring Branch a way to live in integrity as a whole through service.
The Founder and Director of Think Pink, LM Shafer, is available to speak and encourage any group who wants to partner with Think Pink Inc., to grow to meet the needs in our community. Contact her at lmshafer@girlsthinkpink.org.
